Meyerson, Fox & Conte, PA is proud to announce that Partner, Evelyn F. Nissirios, has been appointed by the Director of the Office of Attorney Ethics (OAE) to serve as Secretary to the District IIB Ethics Committee for Bergen County, effective December 1, 2024.
The District Secretary performs critical tasks attendant to the operation of the local DEC and the attorney disciplinary system. Among her responsibilities as Secretary, Ms. Nissirios will be responsible for maintaining full and complete records of all DEC proceedings and ensuring careful adherence to the Court Rules for the processing of grievances and of docketed cases within the time goals set by the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Ms. Nissirios was first appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court in August 2023 to serve on the District IIA ethics committee, where she was responsible for investigating grievances, serving on panels to hear formal complaints, and prosecuting ethics cases involving New Jersey attorneys.
